Xiangling Build Guide

Xiangling may not be the most powerful character in the game of Genshin Impact, but she is certainly one of the best. Xiangling sits on a line between both DPS and sub-DPS depending on how you build her. Well, now we are going to share the best build for Xiangling.

The most obvious method to build Xiangling is to focus on pyro damage and reducing skill cooldowns. Xiangling is unique in that both of her abilities continue to happen, even if you switch characters. Because of this you are able to build her either as your primary or secondary DPS.

Weapon Options

Apparently, there are two four-star weapons that we recommend for Xiangling. Prototype Grudge boosts damage once you use an Elemental Skill, while Crescent Pike boosts damage whenever you pick up an Elemental Orb. The first one is better once you cast an ability and switch, while the second one is better once you do DPS as Xiangling. For a budget option, you will be able to go with a trusty tree-star Halberd, it is really not that bad.

    • Prototype Grudge (Pyro Focused)

After Using an Elemental Skill, it will be able to increases Normal and Charged Attack DMG by 8 percent for 12 seconds. Maximum 2 stacks.

    • Crescent Pike (Attack Build)

After picking up an Elemental Orb, Normal or Charged Attacks will deal an additional 20 percent ATK as Damage for 5 seconds.

It will be able to increases critical rate by 8 percent and also increases normal attack speed by 12 percent. In addition, normal and charged attack hits on opponents have a 50 percent chance to trigger a vacuum blade which deals 40 percent of attack as DMD in a small AOE. This effect will occur no more than once every two seconds.

    • Halberd (Budget)

Normal Attacks will deal an additional 160/200/240/280/320 percent damage. For your information, it will occur once every 10 seconds.

Artifacts Options

The best artifact set for Xiangling is one which focuses on the aforementioned elemental abilities. You may want something along the lines of Crimson Witch of Flames, Noblesse Oblige, or The Exile. The first will power up elemental burst damage, while the last will be able to power up all Pyro damage.

    • Crimson Witch of Flames

2-Piece Bonus: Pyro Damage Bonus + 15 percent.

4-Piece Bonus: It will increases Overloaded and Burning Damage (DMG) by 40 percent. Also, increases Vaporize and Melt Damage by 15 percent. Using an Elemental Skill will be able to increases the 2-Piece Set Bonus by 50 percent of its starting value for 10 seconds. Maximum 3 stacks.

    • Oblesse Oblige

2-Piece Bonus: Elemental Burst Damage + 20 percent.

4-Piece Bonus: Using an Elemental Burst will be able to increases all party members’ ATK by 20 percent for 12 second. This effect will not be able to stack.

    • The Exile

2-Piece Bonus: Energy Recharge + 20 percent.

4-Piece Bonus: Using an Elemental Burst will regenerates two Energy for all party members every 2 seconds for 6 seconds. This effect will not be able to stack.

In other case, if you prefer to use Xiangling as your primary DPS, there are some options: Martial Artist, Gladiator’s Finale, and Berserker.

    • Martial Artist

2-Piece Bonus: It increases Normal Attack and Charged Attack Damage (DMG) by 15 percent.

4-Piece Bonus: After using Elemental Skill, it will be able to increases Normal Attack and Charged Attack Damage (DMG) by 25 percent for 8 seconds.

    • Gladiator’s Finale

2-Piece Bonus: ATK + 18 percent.

4-Piece Bonus: If uses a Sword or Claymore, it can increases their Normal Attack Damage by 35 percent.

    • Berserker

2-Piece Bonus: CRIT Rate + 12 percent.

4-Piece Bonus: When HP is below 70 percent, CRIT Rate will increases by an additional 24 percent.

Genshin Impact Xiangling Abilities

Xiangling has a quick attacks and a charge attack that causes her to spiral forward. Her basic skill summons Guoba the Panda who eats a chili and breathes fire between bites. She is clever enough to get targets correctly including nearby fire totems or crates that need to be destroyed. Her ultimate is Pyronado that summons a whirling disk of fire around her, hitting all opponents in its path. This is very useful against opponents with the shields.

    • Dough-Fu (Basic Attack)

Normal Attack: Acts up to five consecutive spear strikes.

Charged Attack: Takes amount of Stamina to strike forward, causing damage to opponent.

    • Guoba Attack (Basic Ability)

This Guoba attack can summons Guoba the Panda. Guoba continuously breathes fire at the opponent, causing AOE Pyro DMG.

    • Pyronado (Ultimate)

Showing her mastery over both polearms and fire, Xiangling sends a Pyronado whirling around her. The Pyronado is going to move with your character for so long as the skill persists, dealing Pyro Damage to all opponents in its path.

    • Crossfire (Passive 1) – Ascension 1

It will be able to increases the flame range of Guoba by 20 percent.

    • Beware, It is Super Hot (Passive 2) – Ascension 4

Once Guoba Attack’s effects end, Guoba wil leaves a chili pepper on the spot where it disappeared. Picking up a chili pepper can increases ATK by 10 percent for 10 seconds.

    • Chef de Cuisine (Passive 3) – Unlocked

If Xiangling cooks an ATK-boosting dish consummately, she has a 12 percent opportunity to get double the product.

Constellation

    • Level 1 – Crispy Outside, Tender Inside

Opponents hit by Guoba’s attacks will have their Pyro RES reduced by 15 percent for 6 seconds.

    • Level 2 – Oil Meets Fire

The last strike in Normal Attack sequence applies the Implode status onto the opponent for 2 seconds. An explosion is going to occur once this duration ends, dealing 75 percent of Xiangling’s ATK as Pyro DMG.

    • Level 3 – Deepfry

It will be able to increases the level of Pyronado by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15.

    • Level 4 – Slowbake

Pyronado’s duration is increased by 40 percent.

    • Level 5 – Guoba Mad

This will be able to increases the level of Guoba Attack by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15.

    • Level 6 – Condensed Pyronado

For the duration of Pyronado, all party members are going to get a 15 percent Pyro DMG Bonus.
